The feeling of returning home

The scents of home always wash away these of distant journeys, mysticism salvaged in familiarity, where we change, but our home always understands the same familiarity. The mark on the map even more valuable than the indication of north, the cross to which we always return along dotted lines. X always marks the spot. That spot being our welcoming home.
